Description of project and services rendered

The purpose of this project is to develop a Year 2000 (Y2K) National Action Plan to improve the awareness and level of information regarding the Y2K problems, to avoid the effect of compromising the IT potential benefits because of the difficulties and failures generated by the Y2K problems and to effectively focus and manage the limited resources available to manage this problem.

Phase I - Planning assessment
  • Planning approach and project plan;
  • Guidelines for a public awareness campaign.
Phase II - Activities identification
  • Analysis for priority domains for the National Action Plan, listing of all potential activities.
Phase III - Activities feasibility analysis
  • Specifications of problem solving potential of each activity;
  • Evaluation of required resources for each domain; - Selection of priority activities.
Phase IV - Selected activity planning
  • Evaluating report;
  • Methodological guidelines for the Y2K progress reporting;
  • Planning for Y2K activities;
  • Evaluation of the resources (funds, staff, time, decisions, etc.) necessary for the Y2K activities;
  • Draft of a contingency plan;
  • Weekly progress meeting with the client representative.
