Dr. Nessim Awad, CA, MBA, PhD, President.

As a university professor, he taught courses in Finance and Banking at the University of Quebec. He subsequently became the Director of Accounting Sciences and was instrumental in the creation of the Bachelor of Accounting Science degree, which was recognized by the Order of Chartered Accountants of Quebec. He is a professional chartered accountant and an active member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants since 1970. He also acquired an MBA in 1972 from the Montreal Graduate Business School (University of Montreal). He has accumulated 22 years of experience managing various international projects throughout the Middle East, Africa and Eastern Europe. Over this period he has worked closely with most of the Development Banks including the World Bank, the Canadian International Development Agency, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the African Development Bank.

Mr. Victor Abadie, M.A.P.

Twenty seven years of experience, both national and international, in: Management; Structural adjustment program; Administrative reorganization; Budgeting; Strategic business plans; Accounting; Financial analysis; Procurement; Management information system; Training and transfer of competence in international environment; Policies, procedures, monitoring and reporting. During all these years, Mr. Abadie developed knowledge of specific monitoring instruments for project development, of rules and procedures of the most important international financing agencies (World Bank, EBRD, ADB, USAID, CIDA, etc.). Mr. Abadie is recognized as an excellent communicator under various cultural, political and economic environments; supported by leadership skills in animating and motivating groups and highly competent training abilities in transferring knowledge.

Dr. André Brais, PhD

Dr. André Brais, PhD, has 32 years of experience in information systems. For many years, he worked as project manager in the design and implementation of information systems both locally and on the international scene. As well he was involved in the distribution of foreign software packages imported and adapted for the Canadian market place. He is familiar with working with international financing institutions, especially the World Bank and the Canadian international development agencies.

Dr. Gilles Cloutier, Ph.D.

A seasoned Executive with over 26 years of extensive experience in corporate management and financial services. A valuable track record of leadership and teamwork in corporate as well as government affairs environment. A solid experience in international services development with particular emphasis on planning, marketing, finance, restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, privatization, project management and institutional capacity building. An international academic career as Professor of Management and International Finance. Honored Professional Acknowledgement in the National Register’s Who’s Who (Millennium Edition). Listed in Canada’s Financial Post Directory of Directors.

Mrs. Sandra Dupuis, B.Sc. A.

Mrs. Sandra Dupuis, B.Sc. A., has acquired valuable expertise at the international level for the preparation and management of international projects in the IT, Project Management, Accounting, Human Resources, Procurement, Oil and Gas, Education and Training, Health, Law, Marketing, Finance, Banking, etc., sectors. She has broad knowledge of CIDA, ADB, World Bank, DFID and EBRDs? procurement procedures. Her fields of expertise encompass the following: International development; logistic and project management; Preparation of proposals; Budgeting and Financial planning; Human Resources management.

Mr. Jacques Lippé, M.B.A.

Mr. Jacques Lippé, M.B.A., has over 25 years of experience in banking activities related to finance and credit management and in the financial sector. He spent several years with the Toronto Dominion bank, a major Canadian bank. His responsibilities included those of bank inspector, credit officer, and branch manager, which helped him, acquire an overview on bank operations. He also worked with, small and large, Canadian, German, Italian, Swiss, French and other national and international corporations. He has acquired expertise in the following fields:

  • Verifying the viability of investment projects, to be funded by loans, loan guarantees or equity (risk capital)
  • Teaching at the university level courses in the finance and banking field
  • Supporting major industrial investment projects in the province of Quebec and Canada
  • Preparing business plans and strategic development plans
  • Making diagnosis regarding businesses in difficulties, default, or liquidation; to implement the best course of action with regard human, legal, financial and other existing problems
  • Negotiating loans and loan guarantees, for projects of $ 10 000 000 and up, under the terms of an agreement between the government of Canada and the province of Quebec
  • Consulting: Team leader and credit advisor on credit policy matters
  • Designing and conducting credit management courses
  • Providing financial assistance, in the form of unsecured loans, loans guaranties, or risk capital (equity) to start-up manufacturing businesses
